Anti-Rollback Devices

Ocelco’s Anti-Rollback Device is designed to provide safety to the wheelchair occupant as their weight is lifted off the wheelchair seat while changing from sitting to standing. As the occupant takes weight off the seat, the brake arms grab the wheelchair wheels. This prevents backward movement of the chair and allows the occupant to safety use the wheelchair as a support to push down onto the armrests if needed. Heavy seat cushions are not a problem because each anti-rollback device includes an easy-to-install kit that compensates for the additional cushion weight. This device still allows the wheelchair to collapse for transport or storage.
